Behringer Harvard and our partner, Realty America Group, and Hotel Palomar were honored at the Dallas Business Journal’s Best Real Estate Deals of the Year awards dinner. This is a well-attended and well-publicized event in a town known for its real estate developers. Hotel Palomar won in the Best Rehabilitation or Re-Use Category.

The event ended with the most highly acclaimed winners of the 15 categories narrowed down to four nominees to then determine the single Best Real Estate Deal of 2006. Hotel Palomar was selected as a nominee for this “winner of winners” award. While we did not win, being one of four nominees for Best Real Estate Deals is an honor in itself.

Hotel Palomar Dallas is adjacent to Southern Methodist University and has been remodeled as a mixed-use complex featuring a four-star lifestyle hotel, luxury condominiums, and upscale retail space. The 198-room Hotel Palomar opened in October 2006 and construction on the Residences at Hotel Palomar is scheduled for completion in 2007. The property also has the capacity for additional condominiums or other development.
