The Chase Park Plaza is a historically important, mixed-use complex in St. Louis' Central West End. The property covers 1.2 million square feet of space in an 11-story luxury hotel, 65,000 square feet of banquet and meeting space, and an adjacent 29-story apartment tower. To enhance the tower's value, the apartments are being converted to high-end condominiums and furnished corporate apartments-both of which have access to the hotel's luxury services-and hotel rooms to capture a larger share of the market's executive residential, corporate relocation and meetings and convention business.

Chase Park Plaza occupies nearly six acres overlooking 1,293-acre Forest Park, home to the majority of St. Louis' family and fine arts attractions. In addition to banquet and meeting space, the property includes five restaurants, a five-screen, first-run movie theater, an outdoor swimming pool, an 18,000 square foot fitness facility, offices, and a salon and spa along with numerous retail shops.

Renovation plans for the hotel's existing 251 rooms and suites are to include new furniture and fixtures. Plans for the residential tower are to transform the upper 16 floors into 87 high-end condominiums and three other floors into 48 furnished corporate apartments and provide resident access to luxury services from the hotel. Three more floors will be converted to 89 suites to expand the hotel's room inventory.

Hotel guests have included every U.S. President since the 1920s as well as kings, queens, rock and opera stars, actors and professional athletes. Bob Hope, Dean Martin, Jerry Lewis, Frank Sinatra and other celebrities have all entertained in the hotel's legendary Chase Club. In 2003, the hotel received a Four Diamond rating from AAA and became affiliated with Preferred Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, a network of more than 120 of the world's finest independent hotels.
