Overschiestraat 63 and 65 |
| Location: |
Amsterdam, Netherlands |
| Description: |
The acquisition of Overschiestraat 63 and 65 further diversifies our portfolio internationally. Through a partnership with HCI Capital AG, Behringer Harvard plans to increase the property value by leasing the remaining space in Overschiestraat 63.
Overschiestraat 63 and 65 are each 75,000-square-foot office buildings built in 1992 and located in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This asset is in the Amsterdam-West submarket and is in proximity to Schiphol Airport, local rail, and the A10 motorway. This superior location provides tenants convenient access around the Netherlands.
Overschiestraat 65 is 100 percent leased to three tenants, the largest of which is a hospital group specializing in the prevention and cure of drug addiction. Overschiestraat 63 was virtually vacant upon acquisition with only one tenant. We are working with our international partner HCI Capital AG to pursue multiple prospects for this space.
HCI Capital AG, one of Germany’s leading closed end fund sponsors, has a 35 percent ownership interest in this asset.
